Adjowa Pinkrah, LGPC, NCC - Clinician

Adjowa is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland, born and raised in Silver Spring. She is a compassionate, client-centered therapist who believes in meeting individuals exactly where they are, offering steady support on their path to healing, growth, and self-discovery.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Frostburg State University in 2018 and later completed her Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2024. Her unique background at the intersection of the legal and mental health fields allows her to take a trauma-informed and holistic approach to care.

Adjowa utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build coping skills, regulate emotions, and explore the underlying roots of their challenges. She has experience working with diverse populations and specializes in supporting individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions.

With a special focus on those impacted by adverse childhood experiences and systemic barriers, Adjowa is deeply committed to service and advocacy within the community. Her work is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and a strong belief in social justice.
